Holidays in Tuscany

Tuscany is located in central Italy with Florence as the regional capital. It’s area is 23,000 square kilometers in a rough triangular shape and consist of 3.8 million people. The beautiful iconic landscape, with the purple color from vineyard, and the bright yellow sunflowers field, olive trees and the beautiful hills around are the tourists magnetism of Tuscany. Also don’t forget the clear beach on the western area. Beside its landscape, Tuscany is also known as a place with many artistic buildings, towers and high civilization and it has become one of the most visited destinations in the world.

Tuscany has many designated world heritage cities including Florence, San Gimignano, Pienza and Siena as the historic centre, the square of the Cathedral of Pisa, Val d’Orcia, and Medici and Gardens. Landscape, beautiful artistic countryside building and don’t forget to try the traditional foods. With over 120 protected nature reserves, it has made Tuscany a very suitable place to spend your holidays. Friendly neighborhood, nature and cycle paths with far less pollution has made Tuscany very popular with bike tours. Your eyes will be spoiled by its beautiful scenery along the road. The best time visiting Tuscany is around April to October due to its friendly climate.

Go to one of Tuscany region, the Chianti Region. Your mouth will always feel thirsty. Its a place to spoil your mouth, presented with so many cafe’s with special dishes and of course the red wine. Chianti region is known as the red wine producer in Tuscany. After your stomach is full with many delicious foods, you can walk along the vineyard which is spread all over the Chianti Region. If you still want to enjoy the countryside scenery around Tuscany, you can go to Lucca. Hide behind the Renaissance walls, Lucca provide you shady path along the area, cobbled street, and also the hills so you can enjoy walking or biking.

Another place to visit in Tuscany is Montepulciano, located on top of a hill made this region has fertile land to make vineyard. Montepulciano with its medieval town had a fantastic views of the Val di Chiana valleys. Another medieval town in Tuscany is San Gimignano. You will be fascinated with the towers on the top of almost every building there. Go to Tuscany would not be complete without visiting Pisa, where the phenomenal Leaning Tower of Pisa stands. Between Pisa and Florence, you can stop by in Marti. Marti has many historical architecture buildings, paintings and sculptures.

Don’t forget to take a look at the loveliest city in Tuscany, Siena. Like other city in Tuscany, Siena is rich with beautiful medieval buildings such as Piazza del Campo placed at the heart of Siena. In the afternoon, you can walk around the city and try some gelato in many gelateria that many are there. Bored (which you would never be) with buildings and vineyard? Try to go to the uncontaminated nature of Apuan Alps in the afternoon and watch the beautiful sun set on the beach. You can also visit the protected area like Orbetello Lagoon. Look up, and you will see many migrants birds.

Many beautiful places in Tuscany that you should try to visit. Prepare your luggage, a hat or maybe your sun glasses. Tuscany has many festivals all year, so don’t worry, you can visit Tuscany almost all the year. Check the weather before you visit, so you can prepare what you will wear there perfectly.
